These next couple weeks are going to be super busy. Interviews are next week for a possible pharmacy internship over the summer. I really want one because I wasn’t able to land one last summer. I thought it would be fine but I really hope to do work this summer not only because it’s something to do, but it’s because I really want to learn it. After all, this is going to be my career and I am a little behind with the lack of experience in the field. I’ve done my rotation hours but I only got to work during early January of last year and it was HECTIC busy because of all the changes in insurance. I wasn’t able to do much except help out with filling prescriptions. I didn’t have an internship over summer either. So in the end, I am as much a noob as a first year student but just more textbook knowledge on drugs.
I feel so underprepared for interviews also. Without much experience, I don’t have anything much to say. I’ll prepare this weekend but I’m not so sure why anyone would hire me with all the other prospects with much more experience. All I can say is that I’m hungry for knowledge and ready to learn. I’ll be the one that’s wiling to hustle the most, be ready to take on challenges, look for opportunities, and work hard as hell.
I’ll do my best, get adequate sleep, perhaps get some caffeine in my system to be super energized for the interviews. Definitely going to prepare this weekend, polish up my resumes and figure out good examples of stuff I’ve done to showcase my talents.
The week after, I have midterms and I do my ambulatory care rotation for that week. I think intramural basketball games start that week. It’s going to be super busy. Also Chinese New Years will be coming up.
AH such is the busy life.
It’s MLK weekend and I came back home to pick up my iPad 5! First iPad and I’m now excited to go to class to take notes on it 😀 Let’s hope I don’t procrastinate this weekend. Home just feels… home. A place to relax. At the very least, I’m going to get further along in my Eragon book!
